Saturday was the day after, the day after what? ... after Otto, the storm, a category 1 or 2 storm that hit Denmark in the night between Friday and Saturday. Otto was quite civilized, limiting himself to blowing off some of the plastic triangles from my greenhouse and topple my holder for garden shovels etc.

My greenhouse is repaired already, as I have sown radishes and salad in there - optimistic, but what's the worst to happen? But I realized that I might have to do something about my greenhouse soon. It is - like the toppled rack for shovels etc. made from beams from our roof, which was renovated in 1999. As I leaned on one of the beams it gave way, and I ended up with my nose inches from a beautiful growth of fungus on another beam. New beams and plastic coming up this spring, I guess.

Og endelig! blomstrer min troldnød. Jeg har ønsket mig sådan én siden vi flyttede hertil, jeg fik købt en for et lille års tid siden, og nu blomstrer den.
And finally! a Witch Hazel in bloom. I wanted one of these since we moved in, but only found one last year. Pretty, isn't it?

Krokus - de gule bliver ædt og de blå forsvinder. Her næsten hvide - og det passer godt med Månedens farve igen
Crocus. The yellow ones get eaten by birds, the blue ones just disappear. Off white ones are the answer, and perfect for my Colour of the month.
Judaspenge kan gro hvor som helst. Her rundt om vores oliepåfyldningsstuds til fyret.
Honesty. It grows literally everywhere. Her around the pipes where oil is put into our heating system.
En lille ny efeu gror op ad vores gamle Hjortetaktræ. Sådan skal efeu opføre sig.
A baby ivy growing up our old Staghorn sumac. This is the way to grow for ivy.
Det er det her så ikke - en gammel efeu, der helst vil kravle hen over jorden. Den må have pædagogisk klatre-hjælp snart.
And this is not. An old ivy that wants to sprawl the grounds instead of climbing. It needs some tuition.

I didn't realize you were in the path of Otto! I'm glad it was not too bad. I'm enjoying your pictures; everything here is under six inches of snow at the moment. But rain is forecast for Wednesday so it may disappear, but everything will still be brown and grey until April.
SvarSletI have lungwort here, too. It is a lovely hardy plant for my black thumb :)
We even lived where it was supposed to be almost worst. So we prepared, but Otto's bark was worse than his bite. Not many accidents have been reported mostly toppled trees, and no deaths or persons hurt.
SletI'm glad there was so little damage where you are. It's good to know what needs repair before it simply falls on your head.
SvarSletA tour of your garden is always welcome!
Yes it was a blessing in disguise - imagine that strut giving way under the weight of plants laden with riping tomatoes.
SletI love your little greenhouse and I am glad Otto didn't do too much damage.
SvarSletBoy, just a kiss from Otto was definitely enough! So glad you were spared worse damage! It's wonderful to see all the green. We're still into deep winter white here...
