Den første lørdag i maj fejres den internationale krydderurtedag, i år for 19. gang. Det er jo en lejlighed til at prale med mine krydderurter.

The first Saturday of May id Herb Day, celebrated for the 19th time this year. A splendid occasion to tell of and show off my herbs. Be warned I'll do this.

They look good - and I am sure that every day is herb day at your place. I do love lemon verbena and add some leaves to the bath water if ever I have a bath.
SvarSletI'll have to try this. Too late for the soak today - a luxury, I indulge in now and then ;)
SletWhat a delight your garden is.
SvarSletThank you. It is at it's best now in early spring, so abundant, green and fresh.
SletSo many that are familiar to me that I have also planted in the past. My Bay Laurel died, but the lemon balm spread for a metre in both directions, Lemon Verbena smells lovely when picked leaves are placed inside the house, I loved walking past my dill on a hot summer day, the smell is perfect. One year I had a whole hedge of parsley with another second hedge planted behind to be ready when the first one finished. I had oregano spreading and hanging over the sides of the old baby's bath tub. Sage marching in rows either side of the garden.
SvarSletNONE of these will grow where I am now.
Urhg for none of them willing to grow. Here lemon balm is almost like a weed ;) If I lived in your place, I'd have pots of herbs everywhere. I can't do without herbs for cooking, soaping and dyeing.
