Praise - and the opposite - for Blogger - Updated

Lately, I've been struggling a lot with Blogger when editing images. The image editing tool doesn't always pop up when I click an image. It doesn't always work either
There are other quirks too, mostly in the HTML codes, but I won't bore you with those.

On the other hand, all spam is now filtered out and all normal comments go through. I have removed my Spam notification from my header.
I'm particularly happy about this on Elephant's Child's blog, where I apparently get a notification e-mail about all comments after ticking the "notify me" box. But all the spam posts are gone when I look. Well done, Blogger! Because there's nothing more depressing in Blogland than an abandoned blog where the comment fields are filled up with witch doctors, casinos, etc.

And there I jinxed it. The first spammer got through. Do they really think we go there when they're spamming a loved one's blog?

  1. I used to edit my photos by right clicking and on the drop down menu choosing "open with paint" which is a built in editing program and once you have done your changes save the file with a slightly different name so as not to confuse the computer. Now I don't bother unless there are family faces which I just black out. I haven't been back to EC's blog so didn't know about the spammers there. The only answer would be for her partner to remove the blog I guess.

    1. In Blogger you can re-size and reposition pictures by right-clicking and using a pop up bar. I edit, using Photoscape, mostly just cropping and "downsizing".
Remove EC's blog - I hope not - but disabling comments might be an idea.

  2. I didn't know you could edit photos in Blogger - I always make changes on my computer before uploading them. Thanks to both of you (River and Charlotte) for the tips.

I just checked Sue's blog and it looks okay so far - no spam comments - which is comforting.
