Jagten på orange - Hunting for Orange

Forleden fik jeg to poser gyldenris.

Some days ago I was given two big bags of goldenrod, and I just had to do some testing. I cut off the flowers of a portion of the flowers and dyed half the amount of wool. This gave a radiant golden yellow, suitable for the name of the flower.
Goldenrod should work well when overdyeing, and as I'm hunting for orange I had to try. Because I'm a quirky owl, I had to try the other way around as well; that is overdyeing with gildenrod instead.
I must admit that I like the orange, thah comes from overdyeing with goldenrod better. The recommended - overdyeing of the goldenrod yellow - gives a to me uneven and dull colour.

  1. Cool!

    1. Øv, og nu er det for sent. Der er ikke mere farve i skallerne :(

  2. Cool colour! I dyed with goldenrod to obtain this vibrant yellow but quite forgot the ratio of the plant material to wool :(
