Here we go, all the flowers I wrote about yesterday, ended up in the dye pot.

1: Vild kørvel. Dejlig overraskelse. Det bliver samme limegrøn-gule om efteråret.
Wild chervil- Nice surprise, same lime colours as in the spring.
2: Regnfan, altid god for en fin gul.
Tansy. Old faithful and good yellow!
3: Hopisolsikkekronblade. Nul og niks, men vandet er smukt kanariegult.
Hopi sunflower petals. Nothing happened here. The water was canary yellow.
4: Hopisolsikkefrø .... Grønt!!! og ikke lilla som forventet.
Hopi sunflower seeds ... Green!!! - I expected purple.
5: Coreopsis tinctoria farvede orangerødt som ventet, ikke nok blomster, men det vidste jeg jo godt.
Coreopsis tinctoria performed as expected. I did not have enough flowers, no surprise here.
6: Valnød - også en af de pålidelige. Fin mørk chokoladebrun.
Walnut also a staple, nise, dark chocolate brown.
7: Coreopsis grandiflora farvede samme orangerøde som C. tinctoria. Lysere fordi der var færre blomster.

8: Coreopsis verticillata farvede samme orangerøde som C. tinctoria. Endnu lysere fordi der var endnu færre blomster.

Some gorgeous colours. I look forward to seeing the depth of colour increase when you have more coreopsis to play with.

SvarSletI know of one mushroom, Haplophilo nidans, unfortunately hard to find here. Else it's done by dyeing red and blue on the same yarn, or by dipping a red yarn in an iron solution (rough on the fibres)
SletThey turned out well. I love number 4 and number 6 is almost the colour my hair used to be in my twenties.

SvarSletYou can dye your hair with walnut husks as well ;) It also stains my fingers, that's not so nice. I do love walnut dyed yarn.
