And now for Colour of the Month for the last time in January
The weather has been wet, and cold, and the sun shone, only whenever the sun was out I did not get around to document it. Here are some photos from a cold and wet week.
Our old Christmas tree is trying to charm me into keeping it, and not feeding it to neighbour's goats - who'd love to eat it - by presenting me with a star. Take it easy, tree, you are a keeper. And it is probably the most PINE GREEN thing to be found in my garden right now.
This salad here is a survivor. I planted five, and pulled them back out after tasting them twice. They were like some super rocket, so bitter! And I am not a fan of bitter. But it's pretty. And now it has survived frost, hail, snow and scorching sunshine. It can stay until I need this space for something else.
Yellow archangel, thanks to Syslerier på Pilegaarden for reminding me to look for it. And it had started growing. It could do with a weeding, but not quite yet. It's just too cold.
Det er så koldt! -- It's this cold!
Kardeboller med et overtræk af rimfrost
Teasels with lots of hoarfrost.
Og dryppende våde røde gæslinger. -- And soaking wet red catkins.
That does look wet and chilly. It is wet here, but very far from chilly. I really enjoyed your selections, including your knitting.
SvarSletAn unrelated question. The colour of the month for April is reseda green. What is a reseda?
Wet and hot at your place, but not too hat. I'd like some of that hot, I'm always cold.
SletA reseda is a flower: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Reseda_(plant) ... I do not think they are that colour at all, but I did not name the colours, I only found the colour-randomizer.
Tak skal du have.
SletThose salad veggies are true survivors. I hope you get more sunshine soon and good luck with the sweater.
SvarSletThank you. I keep repeating to myself: Sunshine will come eventually.
SletThe sweater: I just found out that I will run out of yarn before I'm done. And of course that colour is discontinued. So now ... thinking.
