We saw many of the same animals and some new ones. The tropical places, housing bats, spiders giant butterflies and tiny birds were finally opened for the public once again.
The baby elephants had grown, but were still visibly smaller than their parents.
Not many more words, just photos - warning, snakes, spiders, bats and bugs will be in the pictures.
Sculpture ...
Can you see it?
Here is a wooden replica - a Red panda.
No, there's not 2 of them. One is a moult.
Can you see the animals?
Here's one more.
Not underwater, only semi-dark.
Almost all transparent!
A play-statue, there were more wooden animals of different kinds in the Zoo.
It looks like a totally delightful day. Thank you.
SvarSletIt was - and the sun shone too!
SletThat's a beautiful zoo! The bat house was always my favorite at our zoo, and we really enjoyed the reptile house as well. Maybe i need to "kidnap" little Lee and go again as soon as the weather gets cool enough.
SvarSletSomeone t 'kidnap' and enjoy the zoo with sounds real good. I'm happy ti hear that the bat house has more friends out there.
SletBeautiful photos! All I saw in that big picture was one green frog. I haven't been to my zoo for a long while. It's too expensive now.
SvarSletThere are several frogs in there, but they are kind of hard to spot. The zoo is very expoensive here too, that's why we only visit once every two years.
SletThese are just beautiful. I LOVE zoos! What a clever thing to do: make an old enclosure into a play place!
SvarSletYes, clever. It's as far as I remember an old bear enclosure.
