Poetry Monday :: Breakfast or FrenchToast

The grumpy, depressed owl has still not flown away. While fighting the Ookie-Pookies (thanks to Messymimi for the wonderful name) I wrote an Elfje, not really in keeping within the rules, so maybe a Not-Elfje?

Breakfast
Every day
For all of us
Means tea and toast
Not French!

Next Mondays topic: Mittens.

  1. I am so sorry that the ooky pookies (which sounds cuter than the reality) are still with you. And like your simple breakfast.
PS. For the moment blogger is being relatively kind. If you want to go back to embedded comments again feel free - and thank you.

  2. Thank you and thank you - will do! Answering comment is a major PITA with this pop up - and older ceomments are a jumble, where I can't see who is answering to what.
But if needed I go pop-up again, just say so!

    1. This suddenly reminded me of a mug, I once saw: "Bread and water can so easily be toast and tea". Too rigth!

    1. I have tried it several times. In Danish it has a funny name, that translates into Poor Knights. ;) But the taste is the same ... it can be good, but most often it is not.

  6. Your poem is perfect, short, but to the point.
