For noget tid siden fortalte jeg om et birketræ på Hillerød station, hvor det voksede og var blevet ødelagt. Og så fortalte jeg om at det groede igen. Hvordan går det mon med det trodsige birketræ?

For noget tid siden fortalte jeg om et birketræ på Hillerød station, hvor det voksede og var blevet ødelagt. Og så fortalte jeg om at det groede igen. Hvordan går det mon med det trodsige birketræ?

Some time ago I told about a birch tree growing on a piece of wood used to stop errant trains at Hillerød station, and how it was broken. And later I told about it defiantly growing again. How is the tree now?
Knækket træ juli 2019 - Broken tree July 2019.
Vokser alligevel august 2020 - Defiantly growing August 2020
Marts 2021 vokser træet alligevel - March 2021 Still there and defiantly growing
Jeg kommer til at holde øje med dette trodsige træ!

I'll sure keep an eye on this defiant tree!
Nature will always find a way. I like this birch tree. Have you heard of hugel gardening? You put twigs and old logs on the flowerbed first then fill with dirt. As the old wood decomposes it feeds your plants. Essentially this birch is doing the same thing.

SletLife and Nature asserting itself. Trees will grow almost anywhere if they can send down roots.

SletI would thought someone had cut that tree down. It's not the best place for a tree since it will obstruct the lights if it ever grown larger unless that station is no longer in use?

This track ios seldom used - I never saw it in use. But I suppose that it will not be left alone as it is going to obstruct the signs when it grows bigger.
