Marsupilami making meringues with egg whites from our own hens. They were pink and tasty.
It was very windy. The birch belongs to our neighbour, and the branches were almost horizontal.

Today Pirate took Frederik the mouse shopping. He was very comfortable in Pirate's pocket.
Taking a mouse shopping means that you just have to buy a cheese with big holes.

On our way to mass, we passed a closed down shop, the posters in the windows showed a blue umbrella. After reading tjhe poter, I discovered that this umbrella originally was green with pink spots. As it is now, it's perfect for my haiku collection, the tentative title is Blue Umbrella. I've been playing with the poster, but not changed the coour much.

The full Moon lit everything. The clouds came and went, here's a charmingly clouded moment.

January 6th. The tree has been lit one last time, and Marsupilami shows off his bag of Christmas candy. We also had a smallish gift each.
Vores julekrybbe - den bliver stående indtil vi har fejret Herrens dåb på søndag. Legoet er Piratens idé, det er nyt for mig at der groede bananpalmer i Betlehem.
Our nativity. It will remain here until we have celebrated the Baptism of Our Lord next Sunday. The Llego is an addition by the Pirate. I never knev they had bananas growing in Betlehem.

SvarSletI enjoyed looking at your photos, and I especially liked seeing your tree and nativity. Your lights are on the top half of the tree only. Is that because you have pets who like to play with them? Our pets have been remarkable good this year. They've stolen baby Jesus and the sheep many times, but have left the tree alone. Looking at the photo of the tree again I'm wondering if the lights are actually candles. They might be safer higher up.
The lights are living candles. They're placed at the upper brances because the lover brances were directly below the upper ones, and when our grandchild was here on the second day of Christmas, it was fine that way. For the very same reason the lower ornaments are made of straw, textiles or paper, and the breakable glass baubles are hung at the top branches. We do actually dance around the tree on Christmas eve, and there's no way we can awoid pushing and jarring the lower branches. Our tree was very green, we cut it Monday 22nd of December, so the candles were allowed to burn all the way down even on January 6th with no risk of starting fires.
SletVores huse er vist renoveret nogenlunde samtidig, jeg har de samme grønne fliser på badeværelset, LOL!
SvarSlet:) De er i hele landsbyen her. Også i forsamlingshuset. Den tidligere ejer var vognmand og kørte materialer til renovering, alt hvad der var i overskud havnede her i huset, så når vi er nogen steder, kan vi se at dette eller hint er renoveret samtidig med det tilsvarnde hjemme hos os. Både nogle lamper og fliser kommer i hvert fald fra forsamlingshuset. Måske var der ikke så mange at vælge imellem på de lokale trælaster i 70'erne. Jeg erindrer i hvert fald udflugter til et flisisted langt væk for/sammen med mere stilbevidste elementer i familien. Vi var både i Sverige og på en flisefabrik langt væk (hvor mon?).
