SvarSletSo ... what exactly IS the brown object? The other part, all swirly and reminiscent of carmel candy, is lovely!

SvarSletYes this is indeed a beginning volcano. This was one of the peaceful volcanoes in so far as it did not get any worse than this. The whole soap became liquid after this photo was taken, and I stirred it to avoid discoloration of the edges.
