Kna man få for mange krydderurter?

In the past week MotherOwl has (also) been busy in her garden. One of the raised beds were partly taken over by ground elders. (People are paying real money for this in our local supermarket, They're welcome to pick it for free in my garden ;) ). Unfortunately MotherOwl's favourite peppermint - an old, English variety - was growing in that bed. It was moved. It was very small, but it is a slow starter, sometimes so slow that MotherOwl wrongly counted it among winter's casualties. It was planted in the big herb bed and the Owlets put to work fetching water.
Next day MotherOwl attacked the bed with her showle and found lots of peppermint roots. They got their own wedge shaped part of the small herb bed and the Owlets had to pull even more water. Here is the result:. Peppermint sprouts.
And then today when MotherOwl had to go shopping, another supermarket had offers on herbs. She bought two (more) thymes, one parsley, and one laurel to supplant one of this winter's casualties.
Can you have too many herbs?
