Fredagsfrustration ~ Friday Frustration

Once again a change in the way our bus stops and the information contained there is frustrating me. For a small English summary scroll down.

Når jeg står ved et stoppested, og bussen ikke kommer som den skulle, er der nu ifølge teksten på stoppestedet to muligheder for at få besked om, hvornår den kommer:
  1. At downloade en app, Buster. Men det kan jeg ikke, når jeg ikke har en Smartphone.
  2. At ringe til 70 15 70 00, og lytte til ... Vælg 1 for ... i det uendelige, og så vente på en ledig medarbejder. Det tager undertiden lang tid - og en af grundene til. at jeg ikke har en Smartphone er, at jeg ofte glemmer min telefon, eller glemmer at lade den op, så det er ikke så smart heller.
I "gamle dage", ikke så længe siden endda, kunne man sende en SMS til 1250 med et S plus stoppestedets nummer - det nummer står altså stadigvæk på stoppestedet - og få en svar-SMS med kommende afgange fra det relevante stoppested med forsinkelser og det hele. Den mulighed lader så til at være afskaffet ... eller er det mon kun annonceringen af den på stoppestedet, der er væk? Jeg har spurgt trafikselskabet, og venter nu pænt på et svar.

Det er træls at jeg føler mig som en andenklasses borger fordi jeg ikke vil have en Smartphone.

Before the new bus stops were put up, they contained an information about an SMS service for checking when the buses left from there. There's no timetable on any bus stops since 2019.
After the update, you're only told about an App called Buster.
I have written and asked the bus company if the SMS service is still available, if not I feel angry that you're almost forced to buy a smartphone to go by bus in Denmark.

We have a few electronic bus stops that tell how many minutes before the bus arrives, but only on one main east/west road and for all others you have an app called "Next There" which tells you which buses are arriving in xx minutes.The upgraded app also tells you if a bus is delayed or running late and by how much time, for example bus 171 is currently 15 minutes late or bus 248 has been delayed by traffic or non-functioning boom gates at tram/train stops.

    1. We have those too - most ( except mine ;) ) on the train station are of that kind; and they're not out herein the countryside where I live either.
      Buster, the app, works just like your upgraded one. I miss the simpler SMS service.
