Time for another experiment. Today - as almost every day - I picked the fallen flowers from the white, the intense red and the dark purple hollyhocks growing all over the Owlery along with yellow and pink ones. I just had to try. Many years ago - as I began plant dyeing - I had a wonderful bronze colour from hollyhocks. I have never been able to re-create it. But the other colours I get, are pretty as well.
Det gamle, kobberfarvede garn draperet over stokrosen farven kom fra. 1. og 2. bad.
The old, bronze coloured yarn draped over the dyeing hollyhock. Dyebath and exhaust.
I dags forsøg.
