As the alternative badge, as supplied by Lissa seems to suggest growing things I'll prefer those as starter words, and if at all possible, I'll avoid words containing the same letter more than once.
I'll maybe add a few words about my chosen starter word if fancy takes me, else I'll just post the solution - or not in the case that I did not solve it.

V is for Viola. VIOLA, commonly known as violets, grow in great abundance and flower right now. Its sweet smell is one of the pleasures of spring. I always mean to make candied violets, but somehow I never get it done.
No other words with V and five letters describing any growing thing, olvar, were found during the search for today's starter word. As I found only a couple of kelvar: Viper, Vespa (wasp) and Voles; the choice was easy, but Viola would have won, almost no matter what.
I'm unsure if today's solution would count as a kelvar *)
Today's Wordle. Inspiration struck again, earning me a Splendid.
*) Kelvar and olvar are Elven words for growing things, distinguishing only between those that move from place to place, kelvar (including monsters and all humanoids), and those that stay in one place, olvar (roughly corresponding to our flora).
Love that the genie popped out of the bottle for you. Some of our alvar (spring bulbs particularly) move underground, popping up where I have not planted them.
SvarSletOh, yes. I have wandering olvar as well - but I think they get some help from a kelvar or two - mostly bids and squirrels.
SletOf course a Genie would be kelvar, just as elves or monsters would be. At least, it seems so to me.
SvarSletYes, but are they growing? And do Elvish have a special category for angels, demons and such ... So many questions.
