Today is also World Photography Day. Is there any better way to celebrate than by sharing the photo of a happily finished thing? As I'm not doing social media things, this is my celebration.

I dag er det også Verdensfotografidagen, der har været fejret siden den franske regering gjorde patentet på fotografering offentligt tilgængeligt på denne da i 1839. World Photography Day. Er der nogen bedre måde at fejre denne dag på end at vise et fotografi af et velafsluttet projekt? Jeg er ikke med på hashtag-bølgen, derfor er dette min fejring.

Friday the two carpenters put in windows and doors. The building is finished.
Saturday and Sunday we moved bikes and boards and bits and bobs in there. I measured and did all the preparation for hanging the Barn Quilt and painted the space around the windows.

I fredags kom vi hjem til et lille hus med vinduer og døre og nøglen i låsen.
Lørdag og søndag flyttede vi cykler, brædder, den tunge drejebænk, planteopsatser ... ind i skuret. Og jeg malede et stykke rundt om vinduerne, der bare skulle være hvidt og målte og satte lægter op til vores Barn quilt.

Mandag malede jeg rundt om vinduerne anden gang. Og vi hængte vores Barn quilt op. Også mandag fortalte håndværkerne, at de ikke var helt færdige; der mangler noget med gulvet.
Så vi skal bære det hele ud igen. Også den tunge drejebænk.

Monday I painted the window surroundings once again and we hung the Barn quilt. Also Monday the carpenters told us that they are not quite done! The floor needs something ... so everything has to be carried out again.
The Barn quilt stays.
It also needs a name.

Om et år er brædderne dampet af, og vi maler hele skuret grønt.

It is a very beautiful shed and will look lovely in green.

SletIt's lovely, and I'm sorry they did not tell you they need the floor left bare for a while longer.
SvarSletIt was partly a misunderstanding, We were not at home when they finished the shed, and we thougth they were done. But then, as we asked another question, they told us that doing this to the floor [whatever it's called, some kind of finish making the floor plane and level] would be a very good idea, and we said "go ahead".
