Poetry Monday :: Favourite Snack

My Favourite snack? Once again short and not so good due to poor health.

It is not very hard to find.
Now Easter time has come around.
The Owlets say "Oh, Mommy kind,
Give us an Easter egg or two."

And as it is with everything
My favourite snack varies,
From Easter's eggs to Summer's berries
To Autumn's nuts, what Winters bring.

  1. I am sorry that your health continues to give you grief. Very sorry.
    My favourite snack varies, but summer fruits are hard to beat. Mmmm mango.

    1. Thank you!
      Mango! I tend to forget just how exotic Australia is. I have eaten fresh from the trees mango in Africa long time ago. Here I buy them at the supermarket.
      For me summer fruits are strawberries, raspberries, red and black currants, cherries and rhubarb. Are they exotic for you?

    2. We get them all, though currants are rare. Summer fruits include the stone fruits for me (peaches, apricots, nectarines). I cannot grow mangoes here (too cold) but my partner's family can and do.

  2. I'm afraid I'm pretty much a convenience snacker as well. What's in the fridge? THAT'S what I want!

  3. Fresh ripe fruit, nothing like it. Hope you get better soon!
