Yesterday and again today I stood on ladders, first to pick elderberry flowers, later on to paint our new shed, and experienced what I have experienced many times before -- a thing I call The Ladder Mystery.
First I was very afraid of just standing on our 6-step stepladder, but after a while I had no problems standing at the upper rungs of our really tall long ladder stretching to paint all the boards. Why is it like this?

I solved today's Wordle, no Ta-daas or anything, just me being stupid, and the solution being a word I absolutely did not know was even a word ... it's just a name for me!

Jeg løste også dagens Wordle. Efter al fødselsdags-halløjet var det en tam affære. Dels var jeg lidt dum, dels var løsningen et ord, jeg kun kender som navnet på en historisk person ;)

I'm not sure why it depends on the kind of ladder as to whether it bothers you. I know we get used to different things at different times in our lives.
SvarSletAs for the Wordle, there's no being stupid if you simply do not know a word.
Sorry I was unclear. It does not depent on the kind of ladder, only on time spent on a ladder. In the end I stood at the topmost rung of the stepladder, stretching, but I wasn't tall enugh, and had to fetch the real tall ladder and stand almost on top of this. It felt crazy, as I earlier in the day was scared standing on the next to top rung of the stepladder ;)
SletI was a bit stupid in guess two, as I had the middle letter right.
I used to be up and down ladders easily, but then there came a day when I was on the tall ladder and coming down I counted steps as I had done for the smaller step ladder, one, two, floor, but on the big ladder I counted one, two, and stepped for the floor which wasn't there! I still had another step to count! I desperately windmilled backwards bouncing off the table edge and eventually slamming into the wall. Winded but unhurt and haven't been on the tall ladder since then.
SvarSletI'm curious what the Word was.
Ough, this sounds bad! I've only done this with our stairs. Luckily you was unhurt!
SletThe word was Drake, which I knew only as SIr Francis Drake's last name. Now I know it is a male duck as well ;)
