As the alternative badge, as supplied by Lissa seems to suggest growing things I'll prefer those as starter words, and if at all possible, I'll avoid words containing the same letter more than once.
I'll maybe add a few words about my chosen starter word if fancy takes me, else I'll just post the solution - or not in the case that I did not solve it.
E is for Eruca. Eruca is also known as Rocket, arugula, colewort, roquette, ruchetta or rucola; Here I'll maltreat Shakespeare and say that an Eruca by any other name would taste just as bitter. It does not grow in my garden.
Well, and as Wordle does not accept Eruca. I went for my second word, Erica also known as heather.
5 tries used = Great.
Well done. Again.
SvarSletThanks - this tim I did it with one of my sons.
SletEasy for some- my brain doesn’t seem to work that way (puts the whole concept in the too hard basket) so to me it’s all double dutch. Good on ya for getting it right - again
SvarSletThanks, I like words and languages, so for me it's fun, sometimes frustrating, but fun.
SletNicely done!
SvarSletThanks
SletFor a few seconds I thought you meant the word was "great" and I'm thinking What? What? THEN I got it.
SvarSletGreat would actually be a good starger word :)
SletBy me the plant erica is heather, not arugula. I grew arugula in my garden once because I like it, but it bolted too quickly so I never bothered again.
SvarSletSame here, I had to do a double take, as ERUCA = arugula was not a word acording to Wordle, so I went with ERICA = heather.
SletI also tried growing arugula, but they were very bitter, and as you say, bolted very fast. The flowers are edible too and less bitter, I have considered growing them for the flowers because they are not eaten by slugs, as normal salad is.
