Vandmelon -- Watermelon

Se her!

After casting on Minimax' self patterning socks, I've been wondering how many different colourways self patterning yarn was made in. The answer is a gazillion. But one combo caught my eye: watermelon socks!  Look at this! Scroll down a little. It might be a bit expensive for me, and I do not lack sock (or any other) yarn.
Instead I played with making a watermelon palette. Now I know which colours to look for if ever watermelon knitting comes up again.

  1. Uglemor,

I have some wool in just those watermelon shades. I'd forgotten about it! It's wool but not hand dyed like the wool you linked to. Aren't the colours beautiful? I will have to hurry on with my current knitting project so I can make Gemma-Rose another cardigan using the wool. Actually, I'm starting to make some progress!

Watermelon always makes me think of summer... juice dripping down our chins on a warm day.

    God bless!

    1. Watermelons also gives me summer associations, and they're needed here. We're having a cold spell with morning temperatures around minus 8 degrees and windy, so all warm thougths are welcome.
Your knitting progress sounds good. I still hope you'll not have to use my frogging made easy-trick.
