Tøm Tønden -- Stash Bashing (Day 7)

Min første sok! --  My first sock!

My first ever sock is done! Yahoo. It was made for Marsupilami, it is the right size and he likes it. I am happy. I cast on for sock number two and knitted 5 or six centimetres, and then I ran out of black yarn. I went in and looked in the drawer where I placed the other three skeins.  Marsupilami and I split the three left over yarns in equal parts whit a scale - good for his maths ;) - and I placed the second three small skeins in a drawer.

Now only the bottle green one was there, and as the picture shows, I did not use much of this. I looked through all my knitting bags, I have 3 and a basket. No sock yarn - at least not this sock yarn. I cleaned my desk where all the proofreading notes were living their own, wild life. I looked in the box with materials for candy wrapper bags, as it stood under the drawer. I went into the living room, where I went through all my homeschooling equipment, putting all writing and drawing things back where they belonged.

Hmm ... I promised the Pirate a new name tag for his cubicle in school. I went to my paper drawer - the only one I did not turn upside down looking for the yarn, as there's no room for yarn in there. At the bottom of the drawer I found my watch, which went missing last time I cleaned my desk a fortnight ago. I must have pushed it off the pin it hangs on when I'm not wearing it. After making the name tag for the Pirate, I looked for the third time in the drawer, and there the yarn was in it's place.

The Owlets have been telling me about Bermuda triangles swallowing things and disposing them somewhere else or after an unknown amount of time. I begin to believe in them.

  • Så langt er jeg nået.
  • This is how far I am right now.

  1. Uglemor,

So glad you found your yarn! You have a Bermuda Triangle and we have a Black Hole. Nothing has ever been known to reappear out of our black hole unfortunately.

I love the stories that go with your photos!

    1. Ouch Black Holes sounds like really dangerous stuff. I think they visit here as well. But mostly it's just Bermuda Triangles.
      Thank you for commenting
